Maths - Problems

 Sarah has $288 in the bank. She then deposits her pay cheque for $127 from her part time job at PetCare. How much does she have now? - $280+$120=$400 $8+$7=$15 $400+$15=415 so sarah would have $415 money altogether


Sarah has $466 in her bank account and spends $178 on a new phone, how much money does she have left in her bank account? - $466-$170=$296 $296-$8=$288 so sarah would have $288 money left


Room 9 are selling muesli bars at lunchtime to raise money for their camp. They had 434 at the beginning of lunchtime and sold 179, how many did they have left to sell? - 434-179=255 so room 9 would have 255 muesli bars left


Faloa is helping his Mum build a path. There were 438 bricks in the pile and they used 169 of them yesterday, how many bricks have they got left for today? - 438-169=269 so Faloa and his mum would have 269 bricks left


Selena and her brother were counting sticks in the garden. Selena counted 259 then her brother did a second count and counted 435. What was the difference in their counts? -  Selena brother counted 435 more than selena and she counted 259


1. 412 - 342 =70       410-340 =70    2-2 = 0


2. 612+321=933      610+320=930   2+1=3      930+3=933


3. 978-568= 900-500=400  70-60=10 8-8=0 400+10+0=410
