Caring for the planet earth

Polluting The Air. Smoke and Gas is really killing our
Planet because when people work to fix cars the air
or Gas comes out of the car and spreads to people animals.
For example when someone coughs they can spread it to people
and will get sick just like these Cars. Other factors are the most spreading
thing on this Planet, the Smoke flys up the tube and the smoke goes into the air. 

Also when people Smoke and that (yuck) smell comes out
of it right well if you breathe and hate the smell of it then move
and cover your mouth and nose from that person that is smoking.

Another fact if you smoke cigarettes you can get killed because
when you smoke it you breathe some in then it comes out NO when
you breathe that in some of that smoke goes into your body and goes
into your health and kills your body and can kill you. 

But there is one thing that we should do to keep our Planet nice and

clean like it was before is to stop the smoking because that can kill your

health and yourself, don’t drive fast on the road because all that smoke 

that's in your car will come out and spread it to people so
just drive normally please and the last thing is to don’t work for
factors because the smoke from your the factors comes out and
spread to the air and maybe can kill and make us sick from it.

Maths Problem

411 - 725 = 314 

You can use this strategy in your Maths:

400 - 700 = 300
10 - 20 =10
1 - 5 = 4
300 + 10 + 4 = 314

So my problem was 411 - 725, 
so what I did was 400 take away
700 = to 300 next I did 10 take away 
20 = 10 then i did 1 take away 5 = to
4 then I add them all up and then I got
my answer to 314

Maths Problem

138 + 349 = 487

You can use this strategy in your maths:  
100 + 300 = 400
30 + 40 = 70
8 + 9 = 17
400 + 70 + 17 = 487

So how I worked this problem 
first did 100 + 300 = 400
then i did 30 + 40 and that = 
to 70 next I did 8 + 9 that = to 17
so i add them all up and I got my
to answer to 487.

Nellie The Elephant

There was a big and gray Elephant named Nellie.

Nellie was at the Circus performing in front of the people,

WHEN the monkey was holding the fire sticks, and was

balancing on a rope they tripped and fell but they just

didn’t fall they fell with the fire sticks and dropped it on

the tent THEN!The fire started burning the whole Circus.

People were yelling’’ ahhh’’ People were scared that

they could die or get injured but Nellie ran out as fast

as she could, Nellie and her friend (That was a tiger)

ran  with their bags and went off. Her friend got tired

so Nellie said ‘’Jump on back’’ then her friend replied

‘’aww thanks’’ then she went asleep .

When Nellie was walking she was looking around to

see if there was a home that her and her friend could

stay so when they went further, then Nellie saw another

Circus that was like 2 or 3 more minutes away.

She woke up her friend and said ‘’ Hey wake up I see

another Circus’’, so she woke up then they walked for

three minutes, then they got there, they put down their

bags and asked ‘’ Can we stay and work here places

’’ then they said ‘’yes’’, and then they lived happily ever after.

1)Hamish is 4 months older than Ana Megan is 7 months older than Hamish Henare is 2 months older than Megan How much older than Hamish is Henare? - My Answer was: - 9 months megan is older that Hamish by 7 months and Heave is 2 months older than hegan.

4) Amber is in a car on the way to visit her grandmother. Her father, a policeman,
assures her he is travelling on average 84 km/hr. 

a) After 4 1 of an hour Amber’s brother starts to feel unwell and her father needs
to stop the car. How far have they traveled?  - 43km/hour workout: 84 - 41 = 43km 

b) If Amber’s grandmother lives 2 2 1 hours away, what distance will they travel? - 221 divided 84 = 2.631 

c) How long would it take them to travel 252 km?  - 3 hours workout: 252 divided 84 = 3 hours

Learning about sentence starters

In Room 7 we learnt about Sentence Starters. We watched a video about it and then Room 7 wrote our own sentences.  

These are my own ones:
1.Playing at the Park with my friend, on a sunny day
2.Excited to walk home from school, to play some
