And I am  so happy easter is coming up

So all of us need to go hip hip hooray!

Today we read the article about Wild Orphans
W.A.L.T. identify the main ideas in the text
1. Mother elephants are killed for their tusks.
2. Baby elephants are called calves and are found beside the dead mother.

3. They are often named after the area where they were found.

4. At sunrise the keepers and the calves play in the bush
5.Elephants never forget their keepers.

How do rainbows occur?

1.Rainbows happen when sunlight and rain combine in a very specific way.

2.The beams of sunlight separate into the colours we see in the rainbow as they enter a raindrop.

3. Sunlight is actually made up of different colours that we don’t usually see.

4.When a beam of sunlight comes down to Earth, the light is white.
5. There are many colours in  the rainbow that we see, in stripes of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

Or reading group the Minions read an article Wild Orphans by Fiona Cross.This is a map of Africa showing Kenya. The Tsavo National Park in Kenya is home for many wild animals like elephants, lions, hippos and antelopes.
In the park there is an orphanage for baby elephants whose mothers have been killed for their tusks.
